Sessions
Session 1: First Day of School!
Anyway, session 1 summary Day 1 of high school at Asari Adventuring Academy! (The dorms are Weast, Est, Nouth, and Sorth.) - Ray (Jayden, winter eladrin artificer) wakes up at 5:30am, but their twin sibling Jay has already cooked breakfast / done a workout / etc. (They seem to have issues about their sibling being so effortlessly perfect all the time.) - Amadeus (Kara, human* fighter) lives in a big fancy house. His dad is drinking a literal bucket of coffee and his mom cooks him a pancake breakfast. They advise him to avoid getting caught next time, so he doesn't become a super-super-super-senior. - Ava (Bella, shadar-kai elf cleric) makes some cereal in her apartment, says "good luck" to her parent (busy doing the crossword), and speedwalks to school. 10 minutes before class, Armani (Salma, merfolk druid) is annoyed about her roommate's alarm going off. (The roommate is still asleep.) She gets annoyed and burns the alarm clock, setting off Weast dorm's fire alarms. She claims it was an accident (dirty20). - Kai (August, drow elf wizard) gets woken up by the alarm, puts on his trenchcoat, and heads to class. (We have. so many A names in the party) Apparently there's a permanent Fog Cloud (spell) behind school and that's where all the stoners meet. - We all have homeroom with Dr. Borc Norc (the Science Orc). She makes explosives, and tells us to try to avoid getting hazed. - Everybody goes to adventuring classes. Fighter class is basically PE with weapons. Cleric class has an actual syllabus. The druid teacher is very, very into plants. Artificer class is every STEM subject combined. The wizard teacher likes experimenting with mysterious artifacts, using herself.
Session 2: Weird Notes...
Planning
- When Ray comes home from school on the first day, Jade (their mother) talks to them at the kitchen table.
- You know, your mother and I were thinking maybe you should get involved in the family business more?
- We have a business meeting with Alexander Callahan and his top scientist (Gary Risoul) to talk about the supply of some magical artifacts. To be honest, they haven't really told us much, but I thought maybe you would be interested.
- Next morning
- Pretty much a regular school day
- ask how much people are paying attention in classes and give information from there
- wizard class talks about risks of learning magic
